This piece follows a voyage down a river’s course. The adventure begins high up in the mountains as the stream flows from its source through a thick jungle shrouded in mist. Further along its course, the stream broadens into a slow-moving river. The reflection of the sun in its placid surface is broken only by leaping fish. This idyllic scene is soon interrupted by the rage of a thunderstorm. The storm passes and sunlight breaks through the clouds just as the ocean appears, simmering on the horizon. The music fades into the distance as the river drifts to its final destination.
